Thankful for the Sunrise and The Savior

I woke up today with a phone call from my pregnant daughter. She has had morning sickness from her pregnancy pretty bad lately. It was early morning and she said that she had both morning sickness and the stomach flu (which Ireland had just recently had). I told her I would be right over to take Ireland and allow her to rest and feel better.

I got ready quickly and was out the door before the sun was even all the way up. As I was driving I saw the most beautiful sunrise over the horizon. I was stopped at a stop light and quickly took a picture.

Sunrise over Mt. Timpanogas

I snapped this quickly at the stoplight

A beautiful reminder of the beautiful world we are blessed with.

This sunrise was only there for about 5 minutes. When I saw this sunrise I was filled with such a warmth and feeling of gratitude for everything I am blessed with. As I contemplated on my many blessings, I felt so much love for my Heavenly Father and the gift of His only begotten Son that he gave to each of us. I knew that as I served others it was as if I was saying thanks to Him.

I was so grateful today to wake up feeling good so that I could be there for my daughter and  my grand babies today (both born and unborn). How thankful I am for the love and blessings this gospel brings into my life. I know I could never get through any of my trials if I did not have the light and happiness that comes into my life because of my Savior Jesus Christ. He truly "Is the Gift" that helps me make it through each and every day!
