The Savior is the Gift!

As a family we were able to go see the Live Nativity our stake set up this year. It was fun to go with my family, my parents, and my brother Kelly and his family. We loved seeing the live animals and were able to walk through the town of Bethlehem that was recreated to resemble what it was like when the Savior was born. As we wound around the small town of Bethlehem passing the shepherds, the wise men, and the town shops we ended up in the stable where the Christ Child was born! How beautiful it was to see His humble beginning. Tears came to my eyes as I felt the spirit of this beautiful Christmas scene.

The thought came to me that without the Savior's atonement and crucifixion  we would have no reason to celebrate his birth. His mission on this earth was to bring love and light to this world. When we think of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's birth this Christmas season may we also remember what he did for us. He suffered bled and died for each of us so that we could return and live with him someday! May each of us this Christmas season learn to apply the atonement in our lives,  repent of our sins, and use it's strengthening power  to help us endure our trials and hardships to the very end.

Remember Christ IS the Gift which we all seek!
