Don't look back at what we struggled with…but look forward to a bright new future

Tonight we will say goodbye to 2014 and welcome in 2015. As I have contemplated what we as a family have went throughout this past year I have to say that I have seen some spiritual growth, health improvements, and more happiness in our family then when 2014 began.

I am not sure to what big magnificent events I can attribute this transition to other than just doing all the little things. It is amazing how vital doing these small and simple things daily like saying our prayers and reading our scriptures can impact a family. I also think having our Sunday weekly family home evening have really added a special spirit into our home. I also think serving others has helped us think of others and their struggles and not think of our own hardships. I think the number one thing we have learned this year is that everything is in the Lords hands and it is up to us to trust in Him and He will  help us make it through each and every day.

So tonight as we say goodbye to a good year may we not look back at what we have struggled with but instead look forward to a bright new future!
