Do Your Best…God Will Do The Rest

Today Shaniah had another swim meet, she had been so busy with her school fundraiser this past week that she has not had a lot of time to go to practice plus she had a cold, so she was a bit anxious about going to this meet.

I told her to just have fun and do her best and let the Lord do the rest. I reminded her that when we take the time to love and serve others the Lord will bless us.

At the meet she did complete all 4 of her races, 100 Fly, 50 fly in a relay, 50 free in a relay, and 100 free in a relay, and although she coughed and even threw up after one of her races, she knew she had tried her very best. She also was able to get one of her fastest times ever.

It has been amazing to see the light inside her shine bright as she has participated in serving each day at school. She does not see it as much as we do, but it is amazing to see just how service can turn a selfish teen into a selfless one.
