Don't look back at what we struggled with…but look forward to a bright new future

Tonight we will say goodbye to 2014 and welcome in 2015. As I have contemplated what we as a family have went throughout this past year I have to say that I have seen some spiritual growth, health improvements, and more happiness in our family then when 2014 began.

I am not sure to what big magnificent events I can attribute this transition to other than just doing all the little things. It is amazing how vital doing these small and simple things daily like saying our prayers and reading our scriptures can impact a family. I also think having our Sunday weekly family home evening have really added a special spirit into our home. I also think serving others has helped us think of others and their struggles and not think of our own hardships. I think the number one thing we have learned this year is that everything is in the Lords hands and it is up to us to trust in Him and He will  help us make it through each and every day.

So tonight as we say goodbye to a good year may we not look back at what we have struggled with but instead look forward to a bright new future!

Just Enjoying Family Time...

This has been such a nice and restful week. Spending and enjoying time with my family has been so amazing. Having no plans and just doing whatever we feel like has been the best thing for all of us.  We have become a closer family this year due to all the trials we have faced and are still facing and this week has been so nice to just be together and enjoy one another's company.

We have loved spending so much time with Ireland. Here are a few pics of our playtime with her.

After all the holiday cooking and baking we decided it was time to take a break and go out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Landee sure loved, loved, loved, the chips and salsa….She could not get enough!!!

Christmas Pictures!

Yesterday was such a fun Christmas. It was different because my hubby had to work until 3. It was fun however because me and my kids at home were able to go over to my daughter and sons house to watch Ireland open her gifts and have breakfast with them.

Breakfast at Kaylee and Bubba's house Christmas Morning

We then went home to prepare our Christmas meal. When my hubby got home we sent all the kids and Ireland down stairs as Kim and I put out all the gifts Santa left the night before. We had so much fun watching them open their gifts and enjoying a Christmas dinner together.

The family gift we all enjoyed was our hot tub. Although my doctor had recommended one for my health everyone seemed to really love being outside in it when it was snowing!

Here are some pictures of our fun family Christmas Day!
