If We Do Our Part.... He Can Do His...

This past month I seemed to have found myself behind on this blog, well there is a very good reason for this! I would say that I have not been busier than normal, but instead I have found myself immersed in family history work. I have found such blessings in my life the more I do this great work. I have found strength and have had more pain-free days in regards to my health! and have seen blessing pour down upon my own family!

Never could I have imagined just how much serving others could help me get through dealing with this disease. I set a goal about 8 months ago that each Tuesday I would go to the family history center to learn how to search, find, and read Danish records for my ancestors from the 1600, 1700, and 1800's.

Not only have I found many of my family members original records, found missing family members  and have learned to read Danish a bit, I have ultimately realized just how many blessings are poured down upon me, my health, and my family when I trust in the Lord and do his work.

There have been many Monday evenings when I thought there was no way I would be able to do Family History in the morning due to the huge flare I was in. My family would even tell me that I would not be able to go the next morning.

But waking up Tuesday morning there have been many times the flare was gone by the time I left for the Family HIstory center. Sometimes if I still was in pain I would pray and ask for help to be able to go and do this work.  As I did this and trusted in my Father in Heaven, I found him blessing me with increased strength and always decreased pain.

I can truly testify of the reality of serving others, whether it be for people that are living or have past on. It does not matter, because serving others is as if you are serving our Father in Heaven. As we do our part HE can do His!

Here is a Family History video that will inspire you and your family!  We watched it for Family Night. After the movie my family had many questions about their ancestors.... and boy was I ready to show them all the stuff that I had found! I tell you once you start your Family History...You cant stop! It is so much fun and very rewarding!
